How to finance and manage an energy efficiency project? Our basic business model is the development of ESCO and/or PPP projects

The Negawatt Solutions team begins project development with consulting services, which, in accordance with the law, can be provided to both public partners and companies interested in investing in ESCO and PPP projects. The public sector, whether it is institutions founded by the state or local self-government, often recognizes the need to improve its energy infrastructure as well as its limitations—in terms of the available budget and appropriate technical and financial knowledge. In such situations, when project development is initiated by a public partner, our team can provide complete support to the client:

  • from the development of a technical conceptual solution completely according to the needs and possibilities of a given institution or public company;
  • preparation of financial analyzes of the impact of such a solution;
  • design of the financing model for the given project through the ESCO or PPP model;
  • preparation of the Public-Private Partnership Project Proposal;
  • preparation of tender documentation and public contract model.

Investors (international corporations or local companies already active in the field of energy) who have excess free capital also recognize the possibility of investing in the public sector. These are occasions when our company enters into strategic partnerships with these clients due to our extensive knowledge and rich experience with the public sector, the ESCO model, and the legal framework on public-private partnerships. We provide support to clients who want to initiate ESCO (or other investment) projects in the public sector:

  • from developing a technical conceptual solution fully aligned with the needs and capabilities of a given institution or public company, taking into account the goals of the corporation interested in investing in these institutions;
  • preparing financial analyses;
  • preparing feasibility studies, as well as a self-initiated PPP project proposal in accordance with Article 19 of the Law on PPP and Concessions.
