Dr. Miloš Pantoš is a full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, and the head of the Laboratory for Power Systems. He has 22 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting, as well as 15 years of experience in corporate governance and business operations.
He is an expert in power system operation and planning, energy markets, and ancillary services, covering applications of optimization techniques, multi-energy carrier modeling, supply security assessment, and short-term and long-term forecasting of electricity prices, consumption, and production.
Since 2022, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of GEN Energija, a state-owned electricity production company that operates the Krško nuclear power plant. From 2014 to 2020, he was a member and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Holding Slovenske Elektrarne, the largest state-owned electricity production company. In 2017 and 2018, he was a research fellow at the University of Sydney, Australia, and in 2009, he was a Fulbright research fellow at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, USA. He also served as the president and member of the Supervisory Board of Elektro Primorska Distribution from 2009 to 2013.
