At the International Energy and Investment Days in Novi Sad, a panel was held dedicated to financing mechanisms as drivers of energy renovation of residential buildings. The panel discussed key methods of financing energy efficiency, with participation from representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, as well as international experts, including Irene Birnbaum from the U.S. Department of Energy.
The panel also featured representatives from banks, including Aleksandar Čortan from Poštanska štedionica, Nenad Tintor from Pro Credit Bank, and Marko Čubrić from Erste Bank, who provided valuable insights into financial models supporting energy renovation. The panel was moderated by Ankica Barbulov, director of Negawatt, who contributed to the discussion with a professional analysis of existing financial mechanisms and proposals for improving support for energy renovation of residential buildings to achieve sustainable energy efficiency in the housing sector.
