Negawatt addresses a wide range of common issues by reducing energy consumption. In our efforts, in addition to our permanent team, we often collaborate with experts who have extensive experience in their respective fields, with the sole goal of finding optimal, sustainable solutions tailored to each individual project.

Ankica Barbulov

Director and co-founder

I am Ankica Barbulov, co-founder and director of Negawatt Solutions d.o.o. My team and I are passionate advocates with the goal of making the maximum contribution to the energy transition towards green, smart, and efficient technologies. We work intensively to increase energy efficiency through developing ESCO projects and public-private partnerships. We see the future in an integrated approach to heat and electricity, the application of renewable energy sources, and waste-to-energy projects.

For the last 10 years, I have been developing investment projects focused on improving energy efficiency, energy supply, and guaranteed savings projects. As a pioneer in ESCO services in Serbia, I am responsible for implementing the first projects for the supply of thermal energy from biomass and other energy sources in Serbia, as well as the first projects for improving public lighting in many municipalities. I have dozens of successfully implemented ESCO projects, with the application of ESC and EPC models, of which almost 30 projects were implemented in the public sector through the PPP model.

My key partners and collaborators at Negawatt, Vladimir and Saška, htreave been with me since 2016, making us a well-coordinated team.

In 2012, I began my cooperation with the Resalta corporation, where I worked as a director for Serbia from 2015 to 2020.

Vladimir Nikolić

Technical director and co-founder

I am Vladimir Nikolić, co-founder and technical director at Negawatt since its inception. I am a licensed engineer for the design and execution of thermotechnics, thermoenergetics, process, and gas engineering, as well as for the execution and supervision of these projects. I have over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, including seven years in energy efficiency project management.

In each new project, I am responsible for the development of conceptual solutions, where I am always guided by the idea of designing a long-term sustainable project that satisfies the financial interests of the capital owners, delivers an optimal technical result, and is fully harmonized with the requirements of environmental protection and adapted to the needs of the local community.

I have participated in the development of nearly 20 ESCO projects in the public and industrial sectors. As a designer or responsible supervisory authority, I have worked on over 50 projects in the commercial, industrial, public, and residential sectors.
